ABAN Power Company Ltd (APCL), set up at a cost of Rs 4,300 million, is a 119.800 MW Gas-based Combined Cycle Power Plant located at Karuppur village in Thiruvidaimaruthur taluk of Tanjore district, Tamil Nadu. The project awarded by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) through Tariff –based International Competitive Bidding (ICB) route has one Gas Turbine Frame 6FA, one Heat Recovery Steam Generator and one Steam Turbine. APCL has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with TNEB for the supply of the entire power generated for a period of 15 years. |

| Resources |
| Uninterrupted supply of water has been arranged from the Kollidam River by the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage (TWAD) Board. Natural gas is provided by GAIL ( India) Ltd on a long-term contract. |
