Vamshi Hydro Energies Pvt Ltd (VHEPL), a subsidiary of Lanco, has successfully commissioned IKU II (5 MW) small hydro project in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The commercial operations have started with effect from 19 January 2009.The power generated is committed to the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Utility (HPSEB) through a 40 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The power plant will have two units of 2.5 MW each.
