LANCO Amarkantak Power Pvt Ltd (LAPPL) is developing LANCO Amarkantak Thermal Power Station near Pathadi - Saragbundia villages on the Champa - Korba State Highway in Chhattisgarh, India. Set to emerge as a trend-setter in the Indian Independent Power Project sector this coal-based Project is being developed in phases to ultimately become a 1920 MW Power Project.

LANCO Amarkantak Power Pvt Ltd is promoted by LANCO Infratech Ltd, Hyderabad and KVK Energy Private Ltd, Hyderabad. DEG, a Financial Institution fully owned by the Government of Federal Republic of Germany has joined the consortium by subscribing to equity in the Project.    

KVK Energy Pvt Ltd is a Power Generating Company and the Group has diversified experience in power generation and supply using different fuels such as Gas, Liquid fuel, Coal and Renewable Energy. The Group consists of RVK Energy Pvt Ltd in Andhra Pradesh, Kasargod Power Corporation in Kerala and MMS Steel and Power Pvt Ltd in Tamil Nadu. The Group also has a number of power projects, which are in various stages of implementation across the country.
   
Deutsche Investitions - und Entwicklungsgesellscahft mbH (DEG) is a fully owned subsidiary of KFW Bankengruppe, owned by the Government of Federal Republic of Germany. DEG has been engaged in project financing and promoting private investments in developing and transitional countries for the last 40 years. Global Investment Bank and NM Rothschild & Sons provided financial advisory to LANCO for DEG investment in the project.
