In fact, Lanco Solar is the first Indian company to effectively integrate the entire Solar Value Chain in India right from Silicon Extraction to Wafer to Module Manufacturing, as well as undertaking project development, turnkey EPC and O&M services.

Lanco is setting up a fully-integrated manufacturing project for high-purity polysilicon, silicon ingots/ wafers and modules in a SEZ facility at Chhattisgarh. The project is the first of its kind in India with 1800 TPA of Polysilicon and 100 MWp of wafer production slated for completion during 2013. In line with the domestic content stipulation requirement of the first phase in the National Solar Mission, Lanco has fast-tracked its solar PV module manufacturing facility at the SEZ which is currently under operation since 2011. Upon completion, it will be the first-of-its-kind integrated solar manufacturing SEZ in India with an overall capacity of 300MWp/year

The facility is spread over 250 acres to accommodate the planned 250 Wp of the integrated solar value chain. The total annual installed capacity is 50 MWp, which has been fast-tracked to become operational this year to cater to domestic content requirements. The module plant is equipped with state-of- the-art control equipment that ensures best raw material quality, checked under controlled climatic conditions. The online EL inspection ensures that the modules leaving the factory are 100 percent crack free, exhibit high fill factor and a positive tolerance on power generation.

Lanco’s module portfolio covers a wide array of efficient and reliable mono/multi crystalline ranging from 5 w to 400 w, that find application in a wide array of PV utilities and other applications in almost any climatic conditions. The modules are certified with international agencies such as TUV, UL and Intertek to ensure that they meet stringent international quality standards that guarantee the life time and quality of the modules.

Lanco Solar works with the best brains in the industry and the team comprises business managers, doctorates and engineers with rich domain expertise. Lanco Solar employs about 150 trained workers for 24X7 production and the strength is projected to reach 900 by the end of year 2012.

Lanco Solar aims to meet 15 percent of the projected 7,500 MT domestic demand for solar energy equipment from this manufacturing facility, and plans to invest over Rs. 30 billion in phases to reach the targeted capacities.
